The Parker Palm Springs digital experience puts users at the center of aspirational surroundings, allowing them to dream up an irresistible hotel visit. Knowing the emotional benefits of the hotel experience were key motivators for online booking, we pulled on the heartstrings of our prospective hotel guests by writing a first person short memoir titled “A Day at the Parker,” recounting a dreamy stay at the hotel. The story highlights signature hotel moments & amenities. The story begins early in the morning and flows into the night, making the hotel desirable for our target audience, especially the 9-5ers.
The hotel was impeccably designed, filled with interior design surprise and delight moments at every turn. Inspired by the colorful energy of the space, we designed a visual identity that drew inspiration directly from the physical space. We wanted the website to have the same attention to detail that went into the hotel so guests could get even more excited about visiting. Every design detail was carefully curated, making the website a true reflection of the iconic Parker Hotel.
In addition to photography, we also created cinemagraphs and animated GIFs capturing the emotional benefits of the hotel experience. Using motion and animation we were able to capture the attention of our users and give them a small taste of paradise in a fun, memorable and engaging way.
